Community-powered movement

Balfolk Network

A global hub where dancers, musicians, and organizers share knowledge, coordinate events, and grow the balfolk scene together.

Why the Balfolk Network?

The Balfolk Network is a community project designed to sustain and amplify the traditions of balfolk dancing across the world. By bringing our tools, knowledge, and people together in a single, open space, we help newcomers find their first dance and give seasoned organizers what they need to keep their communities thriving.

Our platform is run by the community, for the community. Built on open-source technologies and respectful of user privacy, we avoid the pitfalls of closed platforms so the network can evolve on its own terms.
